"Chief Joe J. Stone Engine #3", our 1948 Ahrens Fox fire engine, was returned to the Sachse Historical Society Museum on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Sherwin Williams donated paint and primer; S & C Body Shop painted, and Chubb's Towing brought "Chief" home.

The official ribbon cutting for "Chief" will be after the Annual Meeting of the Sachse Historical Society, which will be held on March 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Future Restoration will follow as funds are raised. To help contact the Fire Engine committee.

Congratulations

For the 4th consecutive year the Sachse Public Library, director Dolores Greenwald and her staff received the
"Excellence in Libraries" award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association. Of the more than 500 public libraries in Texas, only 27 received this award.
